Project M
Is not for personal glory, money or fame. Ultimately is to make humans healthier.
It is the year 2thousand and something. A swimmer gets on the blocks. Millions of people are watching the olympics. Of those many millions watching, there is only one thousand that have directly supported the career of that swimmer. They have donated their money and time towards a single goal. An Olympic medal.
Take your marks… The swimmer takes a deep breath…. Beep.
The swimmer dives in the water and all the worries in the world vanish, at least temporarily. The crowdfunding campaign, the swimming pool built exclusively for this project, the team of coaches, psychologists, nutritionists, physiotherapists, teammates, parents, they all played their part, but now it is just the swimmers job. All that matters now is having that medal around the neck.
It is not for personal glory, money or fame. Ultimately is to make humans healthier.
Having that medal around the swimmers neck is actually the final goal of this crazy project called Project M. But it is just the first domino of a much bigger and important one.
Depression, anxiety and obesity are three of the most common problems in modern humans. Swimming has been scientifically proven to reduce all three. Not that you need scientific evidence for something almost obvious.
The medalist will bring much attention to the sport of swimming and the SNT community. The same community that knows best how to make swimming fun, healthy and now competitive at the highest levels. This will be the first of many achievements. But the achievements are just a means to the goal of spreading healthy swimming habits to as many people as posible.
